The high quality architecture will reflect the rich heritage of the area and celebrate the history of the site. Visitors arriving at the station will walk out onto a new square surrounded with shops and providing a vibrant focal point for the community. This will be linked to the residential blocks by the newly designed Rail Trail pathway.

The 400 new homes will be built in three clusters of residential buildings. They will vary in height from three to nineteen storeys and will be staggered throughout the site to enhance views. The taller buildings will be near Dagenham Dock Railway station and the Chequers Lane end of the scheme.

All new homes will have their own outdoor spaces and will comprise a mix of both private and affordable homes. Most of these new homes will have generous views of newly created green open spaces. There will be a mix of one bed, two bed and three bed apartments throughout the development of which 10% will be wheelchair adaptable.
